Dear Prof. Romanowski,
As you might know by now, the global Covid-19 pandemic has prompted EFORT to
create a new virtual educational offer as our 1st Virtual
EFORT Congress (VEC) which will take place online from Wednesday 28 to Friday 30 October 2020.
This exciting new educational programme will comprise abstract-based
presentations as well as several invited sessions showcasing the latest
advances in Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Europe-wide and globally. Indeed, at
this stage, the educational content of the new virtual event from the former
scientific programme has been defined with the support of all the members of
the EFORT Science Committee and EFORT Board, and around 1200 abstracts have
already been transferred for future presentation within the VEC.
EFORT has decided to run once more the Comprehensive Review Course (CRC) as
a full-day educational programme during the last day of the VEC (Friday 30
October) to provide a basis for the core theoretical knowledge expected of all
orthopaedic trainees at the end of their curriculum. However, in order to adapt
our programme to a purely online support, the detailed programme and length of
presentations have been revised.
In this context, EFORT is pleased to invite you to you to take over the
presentation you were initially appointed for, as stated in the overview here
below:

Please note this schedule includes the discussion period linked to all the
presentations of your session.
For the specific length of your presentation, please consult the attached CRC programme.
Presentations will be held as a LIVE webinar
during the specific schedule above. However, we will have the option
to pre-record presentations as all abstract-based sessions will be running in
this alternative setup. Therefore, if you don’t have the possibility to join
LIVE under the schedule of the presentation (to be confirmed by mid-September),
we could also pre-record your presentation.
Moreover, please note that all discussion periods will require the
participation of the corresponding speakers to interact over Q&As from
participants. Indeed, there will be a dedicated interactive feature on the
platform to collect the questions remotely and moderators will manage the content
of this section to direct discussion around the most relevant topics.
Lectures embedded in this course should not summarize the full content of
the manuscript but rather focus on a few highlights which are part of the
written document. Speakers are invited to address during their
presentation the questions under the MCQ exam format that were included in the
manuscripts.

By accepting the assignment, EFORT Faculty give their permission for public
access of their presentation/recording (protected platform, with registration
only).
Faculty changing their original confirmed
commitments less than two weeks prior to the Congress owing to other
short-notice obligations are required to provide EFORT with a suitable
substitute.
