ICRS Knee & Ankle Course 2020 08.10.2020

Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Colleagues,

for a long, long time, the idea of creating an ICRS-certified course for younger colleagues who start treating cartilaginous and osteochondral defects of their patients was born among us. In contrast to courses presenting very advanced tissue engineering technologies for experienced orthopaedic surgeons, which our organisation can boast of in a broad spectrum, we wanted to go back a few steps to put the basics in order and present the possibilities of simpler and economically more widely available methods of regenerating cartilaginous and osteochondral defects. Our interest is focused on the knee and ankle joint, as these are the most heavily load bearing joints in the human body and thus require a well planned treatment strategy.

We would like to offer a meticulously designed course programme, consisting of classes at Cadaver Lab on the first day, where four basic surgical techniques in the treatment of knee cartilaginous and osteoarticular lesions will be presented and practical exercises under the supervision of experienced instructors will be performed.

On the second day of the course, 2 sessions in the form of ICL will be presented with broad discussions and live presentations of knee and ankle surgery centered on the reconstruction of cartilaginous and osteoarticular damage. An unlimited number of participants will have the chance to take part to the second day, as the meeting will be held in the form of Virtual Conference – Webinar.

The whole course will be completed with an online test consisting of 40 questions.

An additional honor for the first edition of the ICRS Knee & Ankle Course will be a presentation by Prof. Niek van Dijk, who will carry out a transmitted OCD repair operation of the ankle talar dome with his original Episurface method.

We cordially invite you to take part in the world premiere of ICRS Knee and Ankle Course, which will take place on 8th and 9th Oct 2020 in Poland (Poznan/Wroclaw).
